I was going to do a big Sephora skincare roundup as my final Sephora sale post, but even thinking about all the great skincare products available at Sephora made me realize that would be way, way too long of a post. So I decided instead to focus on the 8 products I genuinely miss when I don’t have them and always want to have in my rotation. My skin has had a really rough couple of years between pregnancy, postpartum, and a ton of other health stuff: dryness, dehydration, texture, eczema flare-ups, etc. And between that and the fact that skincare is what I get gifted the most, I end up testing an enormous amount of it. Some of my absolute favorite skincare isn’t even at Sephora, but these are the ones that I would absolutely recommend without even needing to look at my collection – they live in the top shelf of my skincare mind palace.

In this post, all links are affiliate links (thank you so much for your support!), but all opinions are my own.
Youth to the People Superfood Cleanser – I know this cleanser is popular, but every time I use it, I’m genuinely shocked by how good this is. It honestly makes me want to throw away practically every other cleanser I own. My skin feels actively, actually clean without feeling stripped at all, which is a really hard balance to strike. I have so many cleansers that are hydrating but don’t actually do very much cleansing and ones that are very cleansing but leave my face feeling so tight and dry. This one is a perfect balance of both. Even my husband, who actually tests more cleansers than I do and is even pickier about them, really likes this one. I’m buying a second bottle just for the shower, which already has three cleansers in it (no really, I get sent a lot of cleansers, and it takes a lot for me to write about one).
Medik8 Liquid Peptides Advanced MP Wrinkle Reduction Serum – So many people I respect were raving about this, and so I finally grabbed it a few months ago. I was fully expecting to be annoyed at how expensive it is and report back that it’s not worth it. It turns out that this is one of the few skincare products that actually stands up to its claims and does make a legitimate visible improvement in fine lines and wrinkles (of which I have many because I have no Botox or fillers or anything that otherwise would help with that). I thought maybe it was just temporary plumping from hydration but I have really noticed a difference over time using this, especially with my forehead. If you’re wanting to try more than one product and grab this in a set, Medik8 is actually doing a 30% off sale right now on sets, which is a better deal than at Sephora.
EADEM Cashmere Peel – This is one of the most impressive exfoliators I’ve used, and it’s one of the only ones I have actually used consistently enough to review because it didn’t make my skin react in any terrible way. I always have smoother skin the very next day without any redness, extra dryness, irritation, or any of the other things that seem to always happen when I try to use an exfoliator. I also notice it makes a big difference with my skin’s level of dullness and radiance when I consistently use it, and it definitely helps improve my skin texture which I need a lot of help with. I just love how this is so gentle but actually does work.
Experiment Super Saturated Barrier Support Serum – I absolutely feel like my skin has also been in better shape since I started using this, and I really notice a huge difference when I skip this. I’m going to be picking up the jumbo bottle because I’m now on my fourth bottle of this. It makes such a huge difference in how hydrated, moisturized, and healthy my skin feels. Everyone who is raving about this is telling the truth, and I’m so happy they came out with the huge bottle.
*Editing Rebecca – the jumbo is sold out now but hopefully experiment does a sale later this month!
Dr. Jart+ Ceramidin Cream – This is my holy grail morning moisturizer. I can’t count how many times I’ve repurchased this, and I find that when I’m trying something else, I can really tell the difference. I find that this helps much more with skin dehydration than just dryness and so it pairs incredibly well with any serums I’m using in the morning. I also find that it’s a really good prep step before makeup because it has a smoothing matteish finish that’s not too dewy, and then I can control whether I want to have an even more blurred/matte/smooth look or something really glowy and radiant without my skincare making that choice for me. This is actually already on sale at Sephora, so I’m very excited to get an extra discount.
Farmacy Honey Halo Ultra-Hydrating Ceramide Moisturizer – This is one of the best moisturizers I’ve tried for my super dry skin, and I have bought it countless times at this point. It’s incredibly thick but still absorbs super quickly and plays well with my other night time skincare products. I find that I need so little of this to make an impact that it lasts me way longer than I expect, which is good because it’s one of the moisturizers I really don’t want to be without in my routine and it’s pretty expensive for a moisturizer. Like the rest of these products, I notice a huge difference when I skip this or test something else. The only thing I don’t love about this is that it’s hard to get the last bits out of the jar, but I will definitely put up with that for how well this works for my skin.
Experiment Buffer Jelly Barrier Support Facial Oil-Gel – I already bought one of these the second the Sephora sale started because I ran out, and I wanted it back. It actually got delivered today as I’m finishing up this post so it gets to be in the post photo. This is one of my essential final nighttime steps to keep moisture and hydration in, and I really notice when I skip it or use something else. I still love the BloomEffects Royal Tulip Moisturizing Nectar when I need something INTENSELY nourishing and moisturizing and very, very occlusive but I love that the Buffer Jelly is so much more lightweight and still provides that occlusive layer without feeling suffocating or sticky.
EADEM Le Chouchou Exfoliating + Softening Peptide Lip Balm in Butter Mochi – I know I talk about these all the time because I love them so much, but this really is my go to overnight lip treatment. The formula feels super nourishing, comfortable, and makes my lips look and feel better every time I put it on. I had super dry, dehydrated, flaky lips that tended to crack and bleed in the winter, but I’ve noticed a huge improvement since I started using the EADEM balm every night. And of course, I absolutely love Chateau Rose, Boba Bounce, Fig Sauce, Bissap Glaze, and Guava Fresca during the day. I personally picked up Coquito Dulce in the sale, and I can’t wait to try it.
What’s the skincare product you immediately want to replace when you run out? As always, all links are affiliate links that support the blog and some products may have been gifted, but all reviews/opinions are completely my own and unsponsored.
